Founded in 1975, Barrhead Travel has evolved into a multifaceted travel group offering bespoke holidays worldwide. With over 85 locations across the UK, the company operates an in-house training facility, employs specialist consultants, and promotes youth employment through its apprenticeship scheme.

The Challenge

Barrhead Travel required reliable IT support across its UK-wide branch network, particularly during and after the pandemic. Their internal IT team was focused on strategic initiatives and lacked the bandwidth to handle the volume of day-to-day support tickets. 

As business resumed, consistency in support across all locations became critical to avoid disruption to travel bookings and customer service. Their existing support structure also lacked clear monitoring and reporting, making performance tracking difficult.

The Solution

Certum implemented a fully managed IT support service across all Barrhead Travel sites. This included a dedicated helpdesk team, remote monitoring of infrastructure, and field engineers for on-site support as required. 

Centralised dashboards tracked key performance and service metrics, while regular review meetings ensured ongoing alignment with business objectives. Certum also supported new staff onboarding and equipment rollout as the business scaled up post-lockdown.
